What we are building

Vireco is building a physics-informed operational decision system for environments where existing controllers run the equipment. Operators still need better ways to coordinate decisions across the site. The model learns from the telemetry and operating context available in that environment, then forecasts response and produces actions operators can validate.

Vireco starts with airport energy operations because the constraints are strict, the coupling is high, and the economic stakes are material. HVAC is the first controllable system. The platform operates above BMS, SCADA, DCS, PLC, and energy-control environments while real-time systems keep responsibility for safety, sequencing, and equipment protection.

Earned one of the only high school placements at BMO's Canadian Settlements Division. Drives Vireco's overall vision, partnerships, and GTM execution across energy, infrastructure, and AI verticals.

Electrical engineer (University of Waterloo) with experience in grid operations, system modeling, quantitative analysis, and AI-supported forecasting. Contributed to BC Hydro's asset planning group, applying Python analytics and CYME models to support long-range planning and the utility's 10-year capital plan. At Kinectrics, performed statistical and numerical analysis, produced technical visualizations, and supported product development through structured testing. Leads Vireco's core technology development and overall technical direction.

Todd Ernst

Strategic Advisor

Todd Ernst is an energy and environment executive with over a decade of leadership experience in airport-scale infrastructure and the clean energy transition. He brings over 30 years of total experience spanning energy, environment, risk management, and operations. He spent more than 10 years at the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (Toronto Pearson International Airport), most recently as Director of Energy and Environment, leading energy, utilities, and environmental programs and helping prepare for Pearson's multi-billion-dollar expansion. Todd holds a Chemical Engineering degree from McGill University and an MBA from Saint Mary's University, and he has earned CPA-CMA and CIA designations; earlier in his career he delivered internal audit and sustainability engagements at Ernst & Young and helped scale industrial energy-efficiency programs at Willis Energy Services and CLEAResult. As an Advisor to Vireco Solutions, Todd supports operator-first product and deployment strategy and the delivery of measurable cost and carbon outcomes for airports.

Sheetal Jaitly is a technology entrepreneur and executive with more than two decades of experience across digital products, enterprise innovation, venture building, and technology-led growth. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TribalScale, a global innovation firm through which he has led digital transformation work for enterprises across industries and helped build and scale modern software and AI-enabled platforms. He is also active across the broader technology ecosystem as an investor, mentor, and community leader, with involvement including Feed Ontario, Tech4SickKids Council, DMZ, and TechStars. In parallel, he has worked with Groq in a strategic advisory capacity focused on the Middle East, including AI infrastructure, enterprise AI strategy, and regional partnerships. As an Advisor to Vireco Solutions, Sheetal brings experience in scaling technology businesses, shaping enterprise product direction, and supporting high-value strategic growth.
